BIRMINGHAM, AL (November 5, 2014)—Timothy Best, author of Substitute Angel, which won a Platinum Award at the 2013 Marcom Awards for its eBook cover design, has won a second Platinum Award at the 2014 Marcom Awards. The honor was in the category of “Book Design” for Tim’s sequel to Substitute Angel entitled, The Intended Ones.

The Marcom Awards, based in Dallas, TX, is a national and international competition honoring marketing and communication excellence. The award show is divided into several categories including best “eBook Cover Design” and “Book Design” which includes both hard cover and paperback editions. The Platinum Award is the show’s highest honor in a particular category. Last year, Substitute Angel won for its eBook cover design, while this year, The Intended Ones won for it’s paperback design. In both cases, the cover designs were conceived by Tim and brought to life by illustrator Brannon Hall from Birmingham, AL.

“This is a wonderful honor to have won again,” Tim said. “Both Substitute Angel and The Intended Ones mean an awful lot to me, and I’m very grateful to Sheri Williams and the entire TouchPoint Press team for their support of these projects.”

Substitute Angel was released in digital form last November and in paperback form in April. The book currently has a Five-Star Reader Rating on Amazon.com and was an Editor’s Pick earlier this year in InD’tale Magazine, a publication for the romance enthusiast. Tim is currently doing book signings to promote Substitute Angel throughout the country. The Intended Ones picks up six months later after the storyline in the first book, and is scheduled for release December 1.

The Marcom Awards is now in its 19th year and had over 6,000 entries from throughout the U.S. as well as 11 countries including Canada, Great Britain, Scotland, Russia and India. The show is administrated and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP). Statues are awarded to Platinum and Gold winners and the awards are made by the same company that manufacturers the Golden Globes, the MTV Awards and the American Country Music Awards.
