Book fairs have always been a time for readers, authors, and publishers to connect as a united community with a shared love of the written word whether digital or print (aaah, the feel and smell of a new book, right?). Then COVID-19 changed everything.

Book fairs, book signings, and other in-person events were cancelled, and the physical connections we enjoyed through these events were taken from us. While the pandemic has separated us physically, it cannot stop us from remaining a united community.

As a publisher that has encouraged our authors to engage social media and to be active online, we’ve always recognized the importance of virtual connections. Now virtual connections and events have become the new normal—at least for now.

So let’s embrace opportunities to gather, to share, and to support other authors and publishers.
