Avery Caswell is an award-winning writer and designer. Her previous work includes
a collection of short stories, MOTHER LOAD, which Kirkus said was “stunning” and LUCK, A COLLECTION OF FACTS, FICTION, POETRY & INCANTATIONS, which Lee Smith said was “a feast for the eyes, the intellect, and the imagination.” Humorous essays have appeared in Baltimore Style, Baltimore Fishbowl, and Welter. She studied with Chris Offutt at Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Abigail DeWitt at Duke Writers’ Workshop, and holds MFAs in Design and in Creative Writing.
