Dan Whitfield is a multi-award winning direct mail copywriter and novelist living in suburban Washington D.C. with his wife, two daughters, and hundreds of books. Originally from the United Kingdom, Dan has always had a passion for history, and studied the subject in both Europe and the United States.

Since arriving in Washington, Dan has worked, in turn, for an educational non-profit, a major trans-Atlantic trade association, and one of America’s leading fundraising agencies. As senior copywriter, Dan has written dozens of fund appeals for a wide variety of charitable causes, including animal sanctuaries, museums, and troop support groups, which have raised tens of millions of dollars. Dan is a graduate of both the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom and the University of Wisconsin in the United States.
