Daniel Cordero writing under Daniel Reece was born in Japan where his father was stationed in the Navy. Daniel eventually settled down in Lebanon, Tennessee, which on some days may not look too dissimilar from the fictional town of North Easton. Daniel attended college at the University of Tennessee at Martin where he graduated with degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice. He also met and married his wife of 25 years there. After college he moved to Memphis where he has worked for the City of Memphis for over twenty years. Daniel recently has gone back to college at the University of Memphis and plans to finish his Master’s in Criminology in 2021. As a writer Daniel has had stories published through the online magazine Drunk Monkeys, through a short fiction contest with Memphis Magazine and placed in a local writing competition. Daniel has been a member of the Memphis Writer’s Group since 2016. Knight and Daye is his first novel.
