Harry Wylie is the author of Between the Dying and the Dead and You Don’t Know Jack, two biographies of the late Dr. Jack Kevorkian, aka Dr. Death. The former was produced as a major motion picture starring Al Pacino and directed by Barry Levinson, released in April 2010. Mr. Pacino won an Emmy for his portrayal of Kevorkian.
Harry Wylie was born and received his pre baccalaureate education in Nova Scotia. He continued his education at universities in New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Michigan. He was an officer in the Canadian army.
His career was primarily in the auto industry in Michigan and he retired as president of Hallmark Strategies, an automotive engineering advisory and advocacy company. Extracurricular activity included ice curling (he represented the United States Curling Association in Scotland in 2001), flying and humanitarian pursuit through the Detroit Executive Service Corporation and the Rotary Club.
Harry and his wife of 46 years have three children residing in Michigan, Georgia, and Alberta. The Wylie’s allocate their time between Ajijic, Mexico and the Gatineau Hills, Canada.
