Helen Heineman, a professor of English Literature for many years, author of four books on the 19th century, and finally President Emerita of Framingham State University, has continued teaching the novels of Jane Austen, Dickens, and other 19th century authors. Her current writing interest is following some of her beloved characters in sequels following their first appearance in the novels of Jane Austen. She has also read Dickens’ A Christmas Carol every year since 1975 in a number of venues – The Danforth Art Museum, The Boston Public Library, The Boston Authors Club, the Heineman Eucuminecal and Cultural Center at FSU, and many others.
