John G. Saenger has an American family lineage that stretches back to November 11, 1620 when the Pilgrims landed in America.  He can directly trace his ancestry to three of the 102 original passengers on the Mayflower who arrived that day.

John grew up in Santa Monica, California, where he spent summers surfing at Malibu and Ventura and honing a lifelong voracious reading habit that ultimately led to a love of writing science-tinged suspense thrillers. Graduating from UCLA with a bachelor’s in biology and master’s in cellular physiology led him to multiple marketing and strategy positions in a number of pharmaceutical companies.  Virtually all of these have been in the therapeutic field of oncology, but none has been more fascinating and inspiring than his current position in oncology medical affairs at a major pharmaceutical company.  He is on a dedicated team responsible for breakthrough immuno-oncology therapies that are currently bringing real hope to cancer patients in a variety of different tumor types.

His evenings and weekends are spent enjoying his wife, family, and hobbies, which include exercise and countless hours of reading and writing, the passions of his life. He currently resides in Pennsylvania, northwest of Philadelphia.
