The Reverend Colonel Russell Noble received a Bachelor’s degree in Theology with a Counseling Certificate in pastoral counseling from Liberty Christian College in 1985 and continued studies at Lincoln Christian Seminary and Lincoln Christian University (2001and 2016) for an MA in Intercultural Studies. He has been an Ordained Minister for the Christian Church and Churches of Christ since 1991. He was a Missionary to Indonesia, where he taught in a training school for ministerial students and lectured at a public university in the capital city of Jakarta on the topic of the principles of Christianity. He has preached in several churches throughout Southeast Asia – including the second largest church in the country of Indonesia (having 17,000 members in 1989). He nurtured, organized and formed five churches. Upon returning to the United States he and his wife Stefany (who is of the Chinese-Indonesian descent) ministered at the First Christian Church of Stewardson, IL for three years. The author has a passion for the lost that keeps him reaching out and striving to be Christ’s hands extended. He recalls a college Internship at Chicago’s Pacific Garden Mission (famous for their dramatic radio broadcast called “Unshackled”) in this way: I spent many sub-zero nights wandering the dark streets of Chicago under the by-passes and bridges calling out the names of those I knew would never come inside for shelter; still I called aloud as Jesus searching for one lost sheep.
Reverend Noble has been commissioned a Kentucky Colonel twice by two different Kentucky Governors. An honor also held by world acclaimed Colonel Harland D. Sanders. In 2010, the Honorable Governor Steven Beshear made the commission on behalf of his family’s efforts to establish the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Then again in 2016, the Honorable Governor Matthew G. Bevin extended the re-commission based on religious and political affiliations in promoting the betterment of Kentucky lifestyles. The author notes there is nothing that compares to the promise of a robe and crown when reaching my final destination. I have in like manner learned to respect multi-cultures and peoples of all nations as a true Biblical representation of heaven.
