Putting words on paper and telling a story has been a part of Suzie Bronk Hunt’s life as long as she can remember.
Starting with letters from camp, Hunt loved sharing stories with long-distance relatives.
As a part of two university news bureaus, she learned a lot of interesting science writing press releases about research involving things like baboon to human liver transplants and radiation travels through the atmosphere.
She fulfilled a college aspiration, and one of her parents’ fondest wishes, when she became a columnist and reporter, creating enlightening features about her fellow citizens for the New Orleans Times-Picayune/Slidell Picayune newspaper.
In addition to her writing career, Hunt is a wife and mother, a past queen for her Mardi Gras krewe, the director of congregational care at a local church, a realtor, the founder of an award-winning synchronized lawn chair brigade, and a card-carrying, Die-Hard Chicago Cubs fan since 1984. The people who cross her path each day provide the flavor for the captivating small town chronicles she creates.
“Rose.Mary’s Run” is Hunt’s second full-length novel. “Weathering the Storm” was published in 2019. She holds a B. S. degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Hunt lives in Southeast Louisiana with her husband Jay and a passel of dogs.
