Will Shingleton

Will Shingleton is a podcaster and author from Birmingham, Alabama. Currently, he’s doing both of those things from his home office in Greenville, South Carolina, where he lives with his wife, Tara, and their two pets. When he’s not writing or watching one of his favorite sports teams, Will is an adjunct psychology instructor at Greenville Technical College.

Will’s road to writing a book was not a direct one; first, there was a major detour into documentary podcast production. His first show, Green and Gold, detailed the rise, fall, and resurrection of the UAB Football program. Although it was produced with little budget to speak of, and even less in the way of experience, Green and Gold gained a grassroots following in Birmingham, and eventually led to Will becoming the lead producer on UAB’s 50th Anniversary podcast project, UAB Memories. During that time, Will also produced shows like 2000 and Saban, Student of the Game, and Career Mode Theatre for his company, Free Time Media.

Somewhere in that very busy period, Will also gained the confidence to try and fulfill his lifelong dream of writing a novel. After many hours of frustration and toil, that project became The Hannon Report, his first completed work of fiction. Since then, Will’s passion for storytelling has driven him on to bring other stories to life, including his first published book, Seamless Transition, which debuted in August 2021.
