Two new October releases spark a plethora of month-long reading excitement
With all the excitement coming from TouchPoint Press this fall, we are proud to announce the release of Tolar Miles new novel, Delta, a spinoff character from Tolar’s debut novel, Mud Marbles. True to Tolar’s style in her debut novel, she expands the spunky character Delta Bulloch with more laugher and even a possible murder, the catalyst that sparks a memorable road trip.
In Delta, you’ll meet the handsome Calvin Sherman from New Orleans, who Delta refers to as “The Devil.” Miss Mincy, who is possibly the most loved character from the book Mud Marbles, makes a few appearances and gives advice as Delta visits family in Cotton Tree, Alabama.
During Delta’s adventures, there are a few people who would prefer she disappear, but Delta manages to maintain her southern wit and charm through it all. As active members of Savannah’s Garden Club, Delta and Betsey keep things lively at the monthly meetings. Like most Southern households, hospitality abounds. Delta’s southern hospitality extends beyond the cocktail shaker. She relies heavily on the famous River Street Sweets® to help entertain family and friends.
Sit back and enjoy the ride as you travel with Delta, Maelynn, and Betsey through the historical cities of Savannah, New Orleans, and Key West.
If that’s not enough, what is the month of October without a sprinkle—or dousing, as the case may be—of blood? Chris DeFazio has entertained readers with the first two titles in his Blood Trilogy: A History in Blood and Just Plain Blood.
The Blood Trilogy comes to a stunning conclusion with its final entry. The long years have beaten down the once powerful vampire, Titus Acilius, and left him stranded and desolate. Titus must delve deeply into his past to find the strength for one last epic journey across a ravaged continent. Will he survive? Will anyone survive? The answers lie in the future…Blood Future.
Whatever you reading preference, TouchPoint Press promises the month of October will bring forth a title or two that will be the perfect fit. Look for sneak peeks of upcoming titles through the month and get ready for love, laughter, romance, murder, and more!

Author Event: Chris DeFazio at B&N May 8
Chris DeFazio will be at Barnes & Noble in Framingham, MA, Thursday, May 8 from 7-9pm signing copies of A History in Blood (Blood Trilogy Book 1).
A History in Blood depicts a world where vampire culture and politics reside peacefully beside the world above ground, a world where vampires don’t adhere to the erroneous traditional lore. Stakes to the heart cannot kill them—only fire or decapitation. Although popular opinion suggests that garlic and sunlight are fatal to them, in truth, these are more like allergies that affect them to varying degrees. Against this backdrop, and with a healthy dose of humor, the story follows Titus Acilius (aka Julian Brownell, aka Christian Beauparlant, aka Texas Jack, aka any number of alternate identities) on his journey to protect the people he loves from harm even as he searches for the answers to his ancient-life crisis.

“…kept the story moving at a good pace…great example of how to avoid clogging up your story with unnecessary details.” –Greenleaf Literary
“From Roman times to resent history- we follow the main character from depression to acceptance. A off beat vampire self help book that solves so many mysteries through time in such a way that I laughed out loud. Wonderfully creative.” –Amazon reader review

Highlights from Chris DeFazio’s book release party
Chris Defazio, author of the 2014 RONE Award nominated A History in Blood, knows a thing or two about parties—and research!
Prior to the official party, Chris endured some serious research sessions in St. Martin, prepping for his third book.
After recovering from his laborious research sessions, it was time to prep for the book release party. The party started at the New Garden restaurant (aka China Star in the book).
Immediately following the signing and good food, several friends accompanied the Defazio’s back to their home for the after-party. We love the banner, and we love Chris’s wife, Sheri Edsall, for all her hard work putting this awesome event together!
Meet Chris (rear) and the Squid (introduced in A History in Blood).
The Captain (left, introduced in the third book), The Squid (center), and Chris DeFazio (right).
Family bonds! In the first picture are Chris with his oldest daughter and son; second picture is of Chris’s two daughters.
“A vampire rising!” Just kidding. No humans were harmed in the making of this party—or the books, for that matter.
To see more photos of the party and to connect with Chris DeFazio, like him on Facebook and follow him on Twitter.
