Douglas Wells

Douglas Wells is an award-winning author who was born in Seattle, Washington. His father was an officer in the U.S. Army, and by the time Douglas finished high school he had lived in Hawaii, North Carolina, Texas, Okinawa, South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida. He earned his B.A. and M.A. in English from the University of South Florida and has taught English and Literature at several colleges. Douglas has a unique interest in and perspective on the tragic, comical, and the redemptive in his characters.
His novel, The Secrets of All Secrets, was released by TouchPoint Press on May 12, 2017,
The Secrets of All Secrets received the Literary Titan Silver Award on August 4, 2017, was a Finalist in the 2017 Independent Author Network’s Book of the Year Awards, and was a Finalist in the 2018 Amelia Island Book Fest and Expo Book Island Literary Award.
His second novel, How We End Up, released by TouchPoint Press on March 20, 2018, is a four-time award-winning novel, recognized as a winner of the Literary Titan Silver Award in April 2018 and a finalist in both the American Fiction Awards and International Book Awards in 2018. The novel was also a finalist in the 2018 TopShelf Magazine Indie Book Awards and was awarded a Distinguished Favorite in the 2019 Independent Press Awards. His third novel, The Mourning Islands, released by TouchPoint Press on April 19, 2019, is a three-time award winner, having been awarded Finalist for Mystery/Suspense in the 2019 International Book Awards and the American Fiction Awards. It was awarded a Gold Medal in Mystery by the Florida Authors and Publishers 2019 President’s Book Awards.
